Jose R. Mas, is Chief Executive Officer of MasTec, Inc., one of the largest and most diversified U.S. infrastructure services providers in the country. Employing approximately 35,000 individuals in more than 700 locations across the United States, MasTec is expected to generate approximately $13.0 billion in revenue in 2023.

Mr. Mas was appointed CEO of MasTec in 2007 and during his tenure MasTec’s revenues have grown more than 1,300%. Since assuming the top executive position at MasTec, Jose has diversified the company into the growing fields of construction and maintenance of wireless infrastructure, electric transmission and distribution lines, wind, solar and other renewable energy sources, heavy civil, industrial and pipeline infrastructure while expanding its traditional communications business. Jose Mas has grown up in the business, and over the last three decades, has worked his way from the field to the executive suite.

Jose Mas is a graduate of the University of Miami where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration. He is a director of the Mas Family Foundation and an active supporter and coach of various youth basketball teams. He serves on the U.S. Department of Commerce National Advisory Council on Minority Business Enterprises. Mr.Mas, was awarded the Ernst & Young National Entrepreneur of the year award in 2011 and in 2012, he was featured in the season finale of the CBS hit show Undercover Boss.

Robert Apple has been our Chief Operating Officer since August 2006. Revenue has grown from $930 million to over $8 billion in 2021. Previously, Mr. Apple served as Group President for MasTec's energy service operations since 2005. He has more than 30 years of operational and senior management experience in commercial, technical and service-based corporations. From 2001 to 2004, Mr. Apple was a senior vice president at DIRECTV®, where he was responsible for the installation and service network, warranty program, supply chain management and national dispatch support. From 1997 to 2001, Mr. Apple, while on assignment from Hughes Electronics to Telefonica S.A., helped build and served as Chief Operating Officer and Board member of Via Digital, a direct broadcast satellite company and Telefonica affiliate. From 1985 to 1996, Mr. Apple served in various capacities within the Hughes Electronics organization, including as Chief Executive Officer of Hughes Electronics-Spain, which included a micro electronics commercial manufacturing company and a defense electro optical manufacturing company, Vice President of Hughes Europe and as a program manager for a Hughes Electronics training and support systems group. For over nine years, Mr. Apple was the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Domtar Corporation, a Fortune 500 Company (NYSE:UFS).

Mr. Apple, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, was a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps., where he was a graduate of the Navy Fighter Weapons School (“TOPGUN"), WeaponsTactic Instructor (WTI), Low Altitude Tactics Instructor (LATI) and part of the team that rolled out the F/A-18 strike fighter.

Executive Vice President and CFO

Paul DiMarco became our Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective April 1, 2023.  Paul DiMarco joined MasTec in 2007 and has served as Treasurer since 2011. In February of 2022 he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of MasTec’s Power Delivery Segment, to work with operational leadership on the integration of 2021 acquisitions that brought over $2 Billion of incremental revenue to the segment. Prior to joining MasTec, Mr. DiMarco held various positions with Burger King Restaurant Services and Coca-Cola Enterprises. Mr. DiMarco earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Florida and his Master of Business Administration from Duke University. Mr. DiMarco also serves, or has served, in various charitable and other capacities, including The United Way of Miami Dade Tocqueville Society, leading MasTec’s annual corporate giving campaign, and for the University of Miami’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD).

Executive Vice President, Corporate General Counsel

Alberto de Cardenas has been our Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary responsible for all of MasTec's corporate and operational legal matters and corporate secretary matters since November 2005. From March 2003 to November 2005, Mr. de Cardenas was Senior Vice President and General Counsel and from January through March 2003, Vice President and Corporate General Counsel of Perry Ellis International, Inc. From September 1996 through December 2002, Mr. de Cardenas was a corporate and securities attorney at Broad and Cassel. From September 1990 to July 1993, Mr. de Cardenas was an accountant at Deloitte & Touche LLP.
