Description of Project: Wind Farm Construction
MasTec construction crews broke ground on the 81MW Laredo Ridge Wind Farm, an Edison Mission Energy project, in June of 2010.  The wind farm project was completed in December.  All electricity produced by the Laredo Ridge Wind Farm will be distributed to customers of the Nebraska Public Power District.
Scope of Work
As BOP Construction Contractor, MasTec's scope of work included Sitework, Roads, Foundations, an O&M Building, Underground Collection and Substation construction, as well as Wind Turbine Erection. MasTec employs NCCCO certified cranes and equipment and is equipped with the most advanced heavy-lift cranes and machinery. 
Foundation construction – Our construction crews are trained and equipped to work around the clock or late at night when compressed schedules, high winds or intense heat make it safer to perform construction after the sun goes down.
