Water / Sewer / Civil project
Hillsboro ASR Project
West Palm Beach, Florida | South Florida Water Management district
The basic operation of the facility will be to treat water from the Hillsboro Canal by screening, filtration, and UV disinfection, then to pump it underground via the existing aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) well. The operation will be reversible, with water being pumped from the well and aerated prior to discharge back into the canal. The project has been designed to pump MGD, after filtration, in either direction.
The Hillsboro ASR Project consists of providing all labor, equipment and materials to construct an intake and discharge structure, filtration equipment, disinfection equipment, electrical, site work, fencing, piping, valves, fittings, personnel and control buildings, and all appurtenances along the northern bank of the Hillsboro Canal in the immediate vicinity of and existing ASR well.
