Description of Project
Mastec's wind energy construction crews went to work in October, 2010 on the 78.2MW Panhandle Wind Ranch, a project for Golden Spread Electric Cooperative, Inc., that was developed by Cielo Wind Services.  The project is scheduled for completion end of 2011.  Power from the wind farm will serve the local region through rural, customer-owned co-ops from southwestern Kansas to the Edwards Plateau in Texas, according to a news release.
Scope of Work: Wind Farm Construction
The project is well on its way to completion, currently undergoing collection system and substation construction, as well as wind turbine erection.  Mastec's scope of work also includes sitework and roads, foundations, electrical and an O&M building construction.
